    "editor1": "<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Chennai, Aug 27<\/strong> - The Madras High Court on Thursday directed India Cements Ltd, the Board of Control for Cricket in India and Bihar Cricket Association to file a comprehensive counter-affidavit in response to a petition filed by Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK).<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CSK had petitioned the court to stay the two-year suspension imposed on it from playing in the IPL by the Supreme Court-appointed Justice R.M. Lodha committee.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The court said it would hear the matter next on September 23.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Lodha Committee recommended a two-year suspension of two teams - CSK and Rajasthan Royals - since their team officials were found to be indulging in betting.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The committee also banned for life Gurunath Meyappan, a former team official of CSK.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to CSK, neither its management nor any player indulged in betting or match fixing and Meiyappan was not a shareholder of India Cements. CSK also claimed that Meiyappan was not on the management of the company.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Lodha committee&#39;s order was against the fundamental principles of natural justice, CSK maintained.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 20.7999992370605px; text-align: justify;\">(IANS)<\/span><\/p>\r\n",
