भारत और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बीच डीवाई पाटिल स्टेडियम में खेले गए दूसरे टी20 में 45,238 से अधिक प्रशंसक हरमनप्रीत कौर की टीम का हौसला बढ़ाने के लिए पहुंचे थे। स्मृति मंधाना, ऋचा घोष, देविका वैद्य, दीप्ति शर्मा और भारत के प्रयासों से वे निराश नहीं हुए। सुपर ओवर के जरिए रेणुका ठाकुर ने मैच जीत लिया।

मैच समाप्त होने के बाद, बल्लेबाजी कोच हृषिकेश कनितकर ने मैच जीतने के लिए टीम की सराहना की और उन्हें याद दिलाया कि इस तरह की जीत के बाद उत्साह की भावनाएं इस बात की अच्छी याद दिलाती हैं कि उन्होंने पहले स्थान पर मैच खेलना क्यों शुरू किया।
