इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट काउंसिल (ICC) ने मंगलवार, 4 नवंबर को महिला वनडे वर्ल्ड कप की टीम ऑफ द टूर्नामेंट (ICC Team of The Tournament) चुनी। गौरतलब है कि ICC ने इस टीम में विनिंग कैप्टन हरमनप्रीत कौर (Harmanpreet Kaur), बतौर विकेटकीपर टूर्नामेंट में सबसे ज्यादा रन बनाने वाली विस्फोटक बल्लेबाज़ एलिसा हीली (Alyssa Healy) और इंग्लैंड की दिग्गज ऑलराउंडर नेट साइवर ब्रंट (Nat Sciver-Brunt) जैसे खिलाड़ियों को जगह नहीं दी है।
जी हां, ऐसा ही हुआ है। सबसे पहले ये जान लीजिए कि ICC ने अपनी टीम चुनते हुए सबसे पहले सलामी बल्लेबाज़ों के तौर पर भारत की स्मृति मंधाना और साउथ अफ्रीका की लौरा वोलवार्ड का चुना। लौरा ने टूर्नामेंट में सर्वाधिक रन बनाए और 9 मैचों में 71.37 की औसत से 571 रन जोड़े। उन्हें टीम की कैप्टन के तौर पर भी चुना गया है। वहीं बात करें अगर स्मृति मंधाना की तो उन्होंने 9 मैचों में 54.25 की औसत से 434 ठोके।
