अंडर-19 महिला एशिया कप के लिए भारतीय टीम में विश्व विजेता शबनम शकील भी शामिल
Pacer Shabnam Shakil: मलेशिया की राजधानी कुआलालंपुर में पहली बार आयोजित होने वाले अंडर-19 महिला एशिया कप के लिए चयनित 15 सदस्यीय भारतीय महिला टीम की कमान निकी प्रसाद के कंधों पर होगी जबकि सानिका चलके को उप-कप्तान बनाया गया है। भारत अपने अभियान का आग़ाज़ चिर प्रतिद्वंदी पाकिस्तान के ख़िलाफ़ 15 दिसंबर को करेगा।
भारतीय महिला अंडर-19 दल में शबनम शकील को भी शामिल किया गया है, जो 2023 में हुए अंडर-19 विश्व कप विजेता दल का भी हिस्सा रह चुकी हैं। शबनम के साथ-साथ सोनम यादव और जी त्रिशा भी भारतीय विश्व विजेता दल की सदस्य थीं।
इस प्रतियोगिता में मेज़बान मलेशिया सहित कुल छह टीमें शिरकत कर रही हैं, जिन्हें दो ग्रुप में बांटा गया है। भारतीय अंडर-19 महिला टीम ग्रुप ए में है जहां उनके साथ पाकिस्तान अंडर-19 और नेपाल अंडर-19 महिला टीम शामिल हैं जबकि ग्रुप बी में बांग्लादेश अंडर-19, श्रीलंका अंडर-19 और मलेशिया अंडर-19 की महिला टीम शामिल हैं। प्रतियोगिता के सभी मुक़ाबले कुआलालंपुर के बायुमस क्रिकेट ओवल मैदान पर खेले जाएंगे।
