T20 World Cup: कई लोग इस बात को लेकर अनिश्चित थे कि विकेटकीपर-बल्लेबाज ऋषभ पंत संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका और वेस्टइंडीज में 2024 पुरुष टी20 विश्व कप के माध्यम से अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट में अपनी वापसी पर कैसा प्रदर्शन करेंगे।
पंत ने आईपीएल 2024 में दिल्ली कैपिटल्स के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धी क्रिकेट में वापसी करते हुए 13 मैचों में 446 रन बनाए थे और स्टंप के पीछे अपना सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन किया था। विश्व कप में पंत ने टीम में अपने नए नंबर तीन स्थान पर रहते हुए आठ पारियों में 24.42 के औसत और 127.61 के स्ट्राइक रेट से 171 रन बनाए, जिससे भारत ने बारबाडोस में दूसरी बार ट्रॉफी जीती।
उन्होंने अपने विकेटकीपिंग कौशल से भी प्रभावित किया, 13 कैच लपके और एक स्टंपिंग करके पुरुष टी20 विश्व कप के किसी भी संस्करण में एक कीपर द्वारा सर्वाधिक शिकार करने का रिकॉर्ड बनाया। अत्यंत पीड़ा और भविष्य को लेकर अनिश्चितता के दौर से गुजर रहे पंत अब खुद को टी20 विश्व कप चैंपियन के रूप में पाते हैं।
