17 दिसंबर,(CRICKETNMORE)। श्रीलंका के खिलाफ वेलिंग्टन में खेले जा रहे पहले टेस्च मैच में ओपनिंग बल्लेबाज टॉम लैथम के नाबाद दोहरे शतक की बदौलत पहली पारी में 578 रनों का विशाल स्कोर खड़ा किया। इससे पहले श्रीलंका की पहली पारी 282 रनो पर सिमट गई थी। कीवी टीम ने पहली पारी में 296 रनो की बढ़त बना ली है।

लैथम ने 489 गेंदों में 21 चौकों औऱ 1 छक्के की मदद से नाबाद 264 रनों की पारी खेली। इसके साथ ही उन्होंने एक अनोखा वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड अपने नाम कर लिया। लैथम पारी खत्म होने के बाद बिना आउट हुए सबसे ज्यादा रन बनाकर पवेलियन लौटने वाले बल्लेबाज बन गए हैं।
