जय शाह ने चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी पर फैसले से पहले संभाली आईसीसी की कुर्सी
Jay Shah: आईसीसी के चेयरमैन के रूप में रविवार को अपना कार्यकाल शुरू करने जा रहे जय शाह ने ओलंपिक में खेल की उपस्थिति का लाभ उठाने और दुनिया भर में महिला क्रिकेट को बढ़ावा देने के लिए अपने दृष्टिकोण की रूपरेखा पेश की है।
उन्हें 27 अगस्त, 2024 को आईसीसी का नया चेयरमैन चुना गया था। अब तक जय शाह बीसीसीआई के सचिव के रूप में काम कर रहे थे। वह आईसीसी का चेयरमैन बनने वाले 5वें भारतीय हैं।
36 वर्षीय शाह को ग्रेग बार्कले की जगह लेने के लिए निर्विरोध आईसीसी का नया चेयरमैन चुना गया, जो नवंबर 2020 से इस पद पर हैं। वह इस प्रतिष्ठित पद को संभालने वाले सबसे कम उम्र के व्यक्ति बन गए हैं। वह जगमोहन डालमिया, शरद पवार, एन श्रीनिवासन और शशांक मनोहर के बाद आईसीसी चेयरमैन बनने वाले पांचवें भारतीय हैं।
