T20 World Cup: टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2026 में साउथ अफ्रीका ने वेस्टइंडीज को एकतरफा मुकाबले में 9 विकेट से रौंदा। गुरुवार को नरेंद्र मोदी क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में खेले गए मुकाबले में वेस्टइंडीज से मिले 177 रनों के लक्ष्य को साउथ अफ्रीका ने सिर्फ एक विकेट खोकर 16.1 ओवर में हासिल कर लिया।
वेस्टइंडीज से मिले 177 रनों के लक्ष्य का पीछा करने उतरी साउथ अफ्रीकी टीम को कप्तान एडेन मार्करम और क्विंटन डी कॉक ने तूफानी शुरुआत दी। दोनों सलामी बल्लेबाजों ने मिलकर पहले विकेट के लिए सिर्फ 48 गेंदों में 95 रन जोड़े। डी कॉक 24 गेंदों में 47 रनों की दमदार पारी खेलने के बाद रोस्टन चेज का शिकार बने।
हालांकि, इसके बाद मार्करम को रयान रिकेल्टन के रूप में एक और अच्छा जोड़ीदार मिला। रिकेल्टन-मार्करम ने दूसरे विकेट के लिए 49 गेंदों में 82 रनों की अटूट साझेदारी निभाई। मार्करम 46 गेंदों में 82 रन बनाकर नाबाद रहे, जबकि रिकेल्टन ने 28 गेंदों में 45 रन बनाए और टीम को जीत दिलाकर लौटे। मार्करम ने अपनी धमाकेदार पारी में 7 चौके और 4 छक्के लगाए। वेस्टइंडीज की तरफ से एकमात्र विकेट रोस्टन चेज ने लिया।
