WTC Final: मिचेल स्टार्क (नाबाद 58) के संघर्षपूर्ण अर्धशतक से ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने विश्व टेस्ट चैंपियनशिप के फाइनल में तीसरे दिन शुक्रवार को दूसरी पारी में 207 रन बनाये और दक्षिण अफ्रीका के सामने जीत के लिए 282 रन का मुश्किल लक्ष्य रख दिया।
ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने कल के आठ विकेट पर 144 रन से आगे खेलना शुरू किया। स्टार्क ने 16 और नाथन लियोन ने एक रन से अपनी पारी को आगे बढ़ाया। कैगिसो रबाडा ने लियोन को चार रन बाद ही पगबाधा कर दिया। ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने अपना नौंवां विकेट 148 के स्कोर पर गंवाया। लेकिन स्टार्क को जोश हेजलवुड के रूप में अच्छा जोड़ीदार मिला। दोनों ने दसवें विकेट लिए 59 रन की साझेदारी कर ऑस्ट्रेलिया को दो सौ के पार पहुंचा दिया।
एडन मारक्रम ने हेजलवुड को आउट कर इस साझेदारी को तोड़ा। हेजलवुड ने 53 गेंदों पर 17 रन में दो चौके लगाए। स्टार्क 136 गेंदों में पांच चौकों की मदद से 58 रन बनाकर नाबाद रहे। लेकिन उन्होंने टीम को मजबूत स्थिति में पहुंचा दिया। ऑस्ट्रेलिया को पहली पारी में 74 रन की बढ़त हासिल थी जिससे उसने दक्षिण अफ्रीका के सामने 281 रन का लक्ष्य रखा।
