T20 World Cup: महिला टी20 विश्व कप 2024 में बुधवार को श्रीलंका को 82 रन के बड़े अंतर से हराकर भारत ने सेमीफाइनल में पहुंचने की अपनी उम्मीदों को और मजबूत कर लिया। अपने नेट रनरेट को पॉजिटिव करने के लिए भारत को 45 रन या उससे ज्यादा के अंतर से जीत की जरूरत थी और भारत ने उससे कहीं अधिक कर दिखाया। अब वह शान के साथ ग्रुप-ए में दूसरे स्थान पर पहुंच गया है।
दुबई इंटरनेशनल स्टेडियम में बुधवार शाम भारतीय बल्लेबाजों ने 172/3 का विशाल स्कोर खड़ा किया और फिर सभी पांच गेंदबाजों ने इकोनॉमी रेट पांच से कम रखते हुए विकेट लिए। फील्डरों ने शानदार कैच लपके और श्रीलंका की पूरी टीम को 90 रन पर समेट दिया। भारत का नेट रनरेट अब 0.560 हो गया है।
दुबई की धीमी पिच पर भारत की सलामी जोड़ी ने 98 रन जोडे। स्मृति मंधाना ने 38 गेंदों में अर्धशतक बनाया, जबकि शैफाली वर्मा ने 46 रन बनाए। इसके बाद कप्तान हरमनप्रीत कौर ने 27 गेंदों में धुआंधार अर्धशतक जड़ दिया। उन्होंने श्रीलंका के सभी गेंदबाजों को जमकर धोया।
