एशियन गेम्स 2026 के लिए भारतीय स्क्वाड में चंडीगढ़ की खिलाड़ी को मिली जगह
Indian Women: एशियाई खेलों के लिए बीसीसीआई ने बीते दिन भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट टीम की घोषणा की। भारतीय स्क्वाड में चंडीगढ़ की नंदिनी शर्मा को जगह दी गई है। भारतीय महिला टीम में उनका चयन होना यूनियन टेरिटरी क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन (यूटीसीए) के लिए भी अच्छी खबर है।
भारतीय महिला टीम पिछली बार चीन के हांगझोऊ में 23 सितंबर से 8 अक्टूबर 2023 तक हुए एशियाई खेलों में गोल्ड मेडल जीतने के बाद डिफेंडिंग चैंपियन के तौर पर इस प्रतियोगिता में उतरेगी। नंदिनी के अलग-अलग घरेलू और राष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं में शानदार प्रदर्शन करने को देखते हुए स्क्वाड में जगह दी गई है।
वर्ष की शुरुआत में उन्होंने एसीसी राइजिंग स्टार महिला एशिया कप में इंडिया ए का प्रतिनिधित्व किया। बीसीसीआई की ओर से आयोजित अंडर-19, अंडर-23 और सीनियर लेवल के टूर्नामेंट में पंजाब और यूटीसीए दोनों का प्रतिनिधित्व करने के बाद, नंदिनी ने सीनियर महिला इंटर-जोनल टूर्नामेंट, महिला टी20 चैलेंजर ट्रॉफी और सीनियर महिला वनडे चैलेंजर ट्रॉफी जैसी बड़ी घरेलू प्रतियोगिताओं में लगातार अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया है।
