पंजाब किंग्स ने रचा इतिहास, 262 बनाकर किया रिकॉर्ड रन चेज
Kolkata Knight Riders: हाई स्कोरिंग मैच में पंजाब किंग्स ने यहां शुक्रवार को ईडेन गार्डेंस के ऐतिहासिक मैदान में कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स के खिलाफ 262 रनों का लक्ष्य हासिल कर आईपीएल के इतिहास में सफल रन चेज का नया रिकॉर्ड बना दिया।
कोलकाता ने टॉस हारकर पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 20 ओवर में छह विकेट पर 261 रन बनाये जो उस समय पहाड़ सा स्कोर लग रहा था। औपनर फिल सॉल्ट ने 75 रन (37 गेंद, छह छक्के, छह चौके) और सुनील नारायण ने 71 रन (32 गेंद, चार छक्के, नौ चौके) बनाये और पहले विकेट के लिए मात्र 10.2 ओवर में 138 रन की साझेदारी की। वेंकटेश अय्यर (23 गेंद में 39 रन), श्रेयस अय्यर (10 गेंद में 28 रन) और आंद्रे रसेल (12 गेंद में 24 रन) ने भी तेज खेलते हुए महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया।
लेकिन लक्ष्य का पीछा करने उतरी पंजाब की टीम के इरादे कुछ और ही थे। उसने 18.4 ओवर में मात्र दो विकेट खोकर 262 रन बनाकर पहाड़ को बौना साबित कर दिया।
