सईम अयूब चैंपियंस ट्रॉफ़ी से बाहर, पीसीबी ने की पुष्टि
Saim Ayub: जनवरी में दक्षिण अफ़्रीका दौरे पर चोटिल हुए सईम अयूब चैंपियंस ट्रॉफ़ी से बाहर हो गए हैं। वह अभी भी चोट से उबर रहे हैं और उनके कम से कम पांच सप्ताह तक क्रिकेट से दूर रहने की पुष्टि हो गई है। 9 मार्च तक चलने वाले चैंपियंस ट्रॉफ़ी के बाद पाकिस्तान के न्यूज़ीलैंड दौरे पर भी अयूब की उपलब्धता निश्चित नहीं है।
पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड (पीसीबी) ने अपने बयान में कहा कि अयूब अपने दाएं टखने के फ़्रैक्चर से अच्छी तरह से रिकवर कर रहे हैं। वह अभी इंग्लैंड में हैं और चोट से पूरी तरह से उबरने तक वह इंग्लैंड में ही रहेंगे और दक्षिण अफ़्रीका के ख़िलाफ़ केपटाउन टेस्ट में फ़ील्डिंग के दौरान लगी चोट के समय से वह कम से कम 10 सप्ताह के लिए क्रिकेट से दूर हो गए हैं।
अयूब को स्ट्रेचर पर फ़ील्ड से बाहर ले जाना पड़ा था। रायन रिकल्टन के बल्लेबाज़ी के दौरान गेंद बाहरी किनारा लेकर स्लिप के पास से गई थी और अयूब ने गेंद का पीछा करते हुए आमेर जमाल के साथ थर्डमैन सीमारेखा की ओर दौड़ लगाई थी। हालांकि इस दौरान अयूब का संतुलन बिगड़ गया और उनका टखना मुड़ गया।
