Lancashire Women Confirm Seven Departures, Cross And Morris Set To Retire
Vitality T20 County Cup: Lancashire Women will undergo a significant squad transition at the end of the 2026 season, with seven first-team players set to leave the club, including England great Kate Cross and all-rounder Fi Morris, who will both retire when their current contracts expire.
Seren Smale, Hannah Jones, Liv Bell, Alice Clarke and Danni Collins will also depart after reaching the end of their respective deals, bringing the curtain down on several notable Lancashire careers.
Cross leaves as one of the most decorated players to have represented the Red Rose. Having played for Lancashire across both the amateur and professional eras, she has made more than 200 appearances for the club and claimed 244 wickets. Wales Cricket Board: Wicketkeeper-batter Seren Smale has been called up to England women’s T20 and Test squads for the ongoing South Africa tour, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Tuesday. Smale joined the T20I group on Tuesday following the withdrawal of Bess Heath who suffered a fractured thumb.
