पीठ में चोट के चलते एनरिख नॉर्खिए चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी से बाहर
T20 World Cup: चैंपियंस ट्रॉफ़ी से पहले दक्षिण अफ़्रीका को बड़ा झटका लगा है, तेज़ गेंदबाज़ एनरिख नॉर्खिए पीठ की चोट के चलते टूर्नामेंट से बाहर हो गए हैं। नॉर्खिए ने पिछले साल टी20 वर्ल्ड कप के बाद से ही अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट नहीं खेला है और पाकिस्तान के ख़िलाफ़ सफ़ेद गेंद सीरीज़ में वह वापसी करने वाले थे लेकिन नेट्स में उनके पैर के अंगूठे में चोट लग गई। वह इस समय जारी एसए20 में अपनी टीम प्रिटोरिया कैपिटल्स के लिए भी नहीं खेल रहे थे और वह इस टूर्नामेंट से भी बाहर हो गए हैं। दक्षिण अफ़्रीका जल्द चैंपियंस ट्रॉफ़ी के लिए नॉर्खिए के रिप्लेसमेंट का ऐलान करेगी।
पिछले साल नवंबर में श्रीलंका के ख़िलाफ़ डरबन टेस्ट के दौरान ग्रोइन इंजरी की चपेट में आए जेराल्ड कोएत्ज़ी नॉर्खिए के विकल्प के तौर पर दल में शामिल किए जा सकते हैं, कोएत्ज़ी इस समय एसए20 में जोबर्ग सुपर किंग्स के लिए भी खेल रहे हैं। साउथ अफ़्रीका के सफ़ेद गेंद कोच रॉब वॉल्टर ने सोमवार को कहा था कि नॉर्खिए के अनुभव को कोएत्ज़ी के ऊपर तरजीह दी गई थी और उन्हें विश्वास था कि नॉर्खिए चैंपियंस ट्रॉफ़ी से पहले फ़िट हो जाएंगे।
लेकिन इसके ठीक 48 घंटे बाद ही क्रिकेट साउथ अफ़्रीका की प्रेस रिलीज में बताया गया कि सोमवार दोपहर को नॉर्खिए का स्कैन हुआ था और वह 50 ओवर वाले टूर्नामेंट के लिए समय पर फ़िट नहीं हो पाएंगे।
