जी हां, ऐसा ही हुआ है। दरअसल, अक्षर पटेल का मानना है कि आईपीएल के इम्पैक्ट प्लेयर नियम के कारण गेम में हरफनमौला खिलाड़ियों की भूमिका थोड़ी कम हो गई है जिस वज़ह से ही वो इस नियम को पसंद नहीं करते हैं। वो इस पर बात करते हुए बोले, "मुझे तो यह नियम अच्छा नहीं लगता है, क्योंकि मैं एक ऑलराउंडर हूं।"
