यह फैसला शनिवार को मुंबई में हुई समीक्षा बैठक के दौरान लिया गया, जिसमें बीसीसीआई के अधिकारी, मुख्य कोच गौतम गंभीर, मुख्य चयनकर्ता अजीत अगरकर और कप्तान रोहित शर्मा शामिल हुए।
बोर्ड ने कोविड-19 महामारी के दौरान हटाए गए एक पुराने नियम को फिर से लागू कर दिया है, जिसमें दौरे के दौरान परिवार के सदस्यों की मौजूदगी को सीमित किया गया था। सूत्रों ने 'आईएएनएस' को बताया कि नए प्रतिबंधों के अनुसार, पत्नियों और परिवारों को पूरे दौरे के दौरान खिलाड़ियों के साथ यात्रा करने की अनुमति नहीं होगी।
