लंदन, 26 जुलाई | इंग्लैंड ने यहां ऐतिहासिक लॉर्ड्स स्टेडियम में खेले जा रहे चार दिनों के एकमात्र टेस्ट मैच के दूसरे दिन आयरलैंड पर 181 रनों की बढ़त बना ली है। मेजबान टीम ने गुरुवार को दिन का खेल समाप्त होने तक अपनी दूसरी पारी में नौ विकेट के नुकसान पर 303 बना लिए हैं। स्टुअर्ट ब्रॉड 21 और ओली स्टोन बिना खाता खोले क्रीज पर टिके हुए हैं।
पहले दिन केवल 85 रनों पर सिमटने और पहली पारी में 122 रनों से पिछड़ने के बाद मेजबान टीम की शुरुआत दूसरी पारी में भी अच्छी नहीं रही। सलामी बल्लेबाज रोरी बर्न्सन महज छह रन बनाकर 26 के स्कोर पर पवेलियन लौट गए।
