गुरुवार को भारत ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ सेमीफाइनल मुकाबले में 339 रनों के लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए जीत दर्ज की। यह रनों के लिहाज से महिला वनडे मैच में सबसे बड़ी जीत का रिकॉर्ड भी है। सिर्फ 3 ही टीमें 300+ रनों के लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए महिला वनडे में जीत दर्ज कर सकी हैं।
पहले बल्लेबाजी करने उतरी ऑस्ट्रेलियाई टीम 49.5 ओवरों में 338 रन ऑलआउट हो गई। इस टीम के लिए फोएबे लिचफील्ड ने 93 गेंदों में 3 छक्कों और 17 चौकों के साथ 119 रन की पारी खेली, जबकि एशले गार्डनर ने 45 गेंदों में 63 रन बनाए। भारत की ओर से श्री चरणी और दीप्ति शर्मा ने 2-2 विकेट हासिल किए।
