T20 World Cup: टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2026 के पहले सेमीफाइनल मुकाबले में न्यूजीलैंड की भिडंत साउथ अफ्रीका से 4 मार्च को होनी है। सेमीफाइनल मुकाबले से पहले न्यूजीलैंड के कप्तान मिचेल सैंटनर ने कहा है कि ईडन गार्डन्स की पिच बल्लेबाजी के लिए आसान दिख रही है, लेकिन स्पिन गेंदबाजों की भूमिका अभी भी अहम रहेगी। न्यूजीलैंड को सेमीफाइनल में साउथ अफ्रीका से भिड़ना है इस मुकाबले की मेजबानी ईडन गार्डन्स का मैदान करेगा।
न्यूजीलैंड की टीम श्रीलंका से सीधे कोलकाता पहुंची है। सैंटनर ने माना कि टीम को एक दिन का अतिरिक्त आराम मिल जाता तो बेहतर होता, लेकिन खिलाड़ियों ने अच्छा अभ्यास सत्र किया है और सभी मुकाबले के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि श्रीलंका के कोलंबो और कोलकाता की परिस्थितियां अलग हैं, पर इस स्तर पर सभी टीमें काफी क्रिकेट खेल चुकी हैं, इसलिए जल्दी ढलना जरूरी है।
सैंटनर ने यह भी कहा कि उनकी टीम के कई खिलाड़ी भारत में आईपीएल और द्विपक्षीय सीरीज खेल चुके हैं, जिससे उन्हें यहां की परिस्थितियों का अनुभव है। हालांकि उन्होंने साफ किया कि केवल अनुभव काफी नहीं है, बल्कि मैच के दिन परिस्थितियों के अनुसार खुद को ढालना ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण होता है।
