वर्कलोड मैनजमेंट ने भारत को गेंदबाजी में मजबूती प्रदान की है और तेज गेंदबाजों को कभी भी टेस्ट क्रिकेट खेलने के लिए बुलाए जाने पर तैयार रखा है।

जब शार्दुल ठाकुर पहले टेस्ट में चोटिल हुए थे तो भारत को दिक्कत नहीं हुई थी और उन्होंने इशांत शर्मा को दूसरे टेस्ट में अंतिम एकादश में जगह दी थी। इशांत ने प्रदर्शन भी किया। भारत के पास उमेश यादव के रूप में एक अनुभवी गेंदबाज भी मौजूद था।
