Tammy Beaumont To Retire From International Cricket After Lord's Test Against India
ODI World Cup: Veteran England batter Tammy Beaumont on Wednesday said she will retire from international cricket at the conclusion of the upcoming Test match against India at Lord's. The end of her 17-year international career will coincide with the first-ever women’s Test match to be played at the iconic venue.
Tammy, who made her international debut in 2009, walks away as one of the modern-day greats of the women's game, having represented England in 260 matches across all formats and amassed 7,325 runs overall. She retires as England’s leading centurion in ODIs, with 12 hundreds to her name.
She was the architect of England's historic ICC Women's ODI World Cup triumph on home soil in 2017, where she was named the Player of the Tournament after finishing as the leading run-scorer with 410 runs. Read More...
