वूमेंस टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2024 के दूसरे सेमीफाइनल में न्यूज़ीलैंड के खिलाफ कैच लेने की कोशिश में वेस्टइंडीज की ऑलराउंडर शिनेल हेनरी (Chinelle Henry) खुद को चोटिल करवा बैठी। चोट इतनी गंभीर थी की हेनरी को मैदान छोड़कर जाना पड़ा। हालांकि उन्होंने गेंदबाजी में अपने कोटे के 4 ओवर पूरे किये। उन्होंने इस दौरान 24 रन खर्चे लेकिन एक भी विकेट नहीं मिला।
यह घटना न्यूजीलैंड की पारी के 12वें ओवर के दौरान घटी। डिएंड्रा डॉटिन गेंदबाज थीं और अमेलिया केर ने पहली गेंद पर हवाई हिट सीधे लॉन्ग-ऑन पर मारी जहां हेनरी तैनात थी। कैच का प्रयास करते समय गेंद उनके हाथों से होते हुए उनके माथे पर जा लगी। हेनरी तुरंत नीचे गिर गयी और चिकित्सा कर्मचारी और खिलाड़ी उसकी सहायता के लिए दौड़ पड़े। इसके बाद उन्हें फिजियो के साथ मैदान छोड़कर जाना पड़ा।
