Brydon Carse vs Shubman Gill: भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के टेस्ट कप्तान औऱ स्टार बल्लेबाज शुभमन गिल ने इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ एजबेस्टन में खेले जा रहे दूसरे टेस्ट की पहली पारी में शानदार शतक जड़कर इतिहास रच दिया। पहले दिन के अंत पर गिल 216 गेंदों 12 चौकों की मदद से 114 रन बनाकर नाबाद रहे। हालांकि, इस शतकीय पारी के दौरान इंग्लिश गेंदबाजों ने उन्हें काफी बार परेशान करने की भी कोशिश की।
दूसरे टेस्ट के पहले दिन इंग्लैंड के तेज गेंदबाज जब गिल को आउट करने में असमर्थ थे तभी ब्रायडन कार्स ने गिल को परेशान करने के लिए बेईमानी का सहारा लेने की कोशिश की लेकिन वो इसमें भी विफल हो गए। ये घटना भारत की पारी के 34वें ओवर के दौरान हुई। यशस्वी जायसवाल द्वारा स्ट्राइक रोटेट करने के बाद, कार्स अगली गेंद गिल को डालने वाले थे लेकिन गेंद डालने से पहले उन्होंने कुछ ऐसा किया जिसे देखकर ना सिर्फ शुभमन बल्कि हर कोई हैरान रह गया।
