कौन हैं देवजीत सैकिया ? जय शाह की जगह बने BCCI के नए सचिव
भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (बीसीसीआई) को नया सचिव मिल चुका है। असम के पूर्व क्रिकेटर देवजीत सैकिया ने जय शाह की जगह भारतीय क्रिकेट बोर्ड (बीसीसीआई) के सचिव पद पर कार्यभार संभाल लिया है। जय शाह के अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद में अध्यक्ष पद संभालने के बाद एक महीने से अधिक समय से ये पद खाली था लेकिन अब सैकिया इस नए पद को संभालने के लिए तैयार हैं।
सचिव के रूप में सैकिया का पहला काम बीसीसीआई अध्यक्ष रोजर बिन्नी के साथ बैठक में भाग लेना था। बोर्ड ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ बॉर्डर-गावस्कर ट्रॉफी में भारत के प्रदर्शन पर चर्चा की थी। सूत्रों ने बताया कि कप्तान रोहित शर्मा और कोच गौतम गंभीर भी बैठक में शामिल हुए थे। इस घटनाक्रम से जुड़े एक सूत्र ने कहा कि बैठक में टेस्ट क्रिकेट में भारत की मौजूदा गिरावट पर लंबी और विस्तृत चर्चा हुई।
