Men’s T20 World Cup Champions India Set To Play A Series Against Ireland In June
ICC Future Tours Programme: Men’s T20 World Cup holders India will play a series against Ireland in June ahead of their white-ball tour of England, confirmed Graeme West, Director of High Performance at Cricket Ireland.
The series is not part of the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP), but it will serve as a warm-up for the England tour for India, where they will play five T20Is in Chester-le-Street, Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, and Southampton, apart from three ODIs.
India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, clinched the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 on home soil for a record third time earlier this month with a commanding 96-run win over New Zealand in a one-sided final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

ICC Future Tours Programme: The 2026 season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is likely to begin in early January, with a final decision on venues set to come soon, sources close to the development said to IANS on Monday. Lucknow, Bengaluru, Vadodara, and Mumbai hosted WPL 2025, which was won by Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians (MI) for the second time at the Brabourne Stadium earlier this year.
MCC World Cricket Committee Recommends A Minimum Of Three Tests In A Series For Next FTP
The MCC World Cricket Committee: The MCC World Cricket Committee (WCC) said it recommends playing a minimum of three Test matches from the next ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP) from 2028 onwards. The Marylebone Cricket Club's WCC had its meeting at Cape Town last week, which was hosted by former South Africa captain Graeme Smith, who’s also the commissioner of SA20.
