Free To Take Part In BCCI Affairs, Says SC While Lifting Ban On Anurag Thakur
Union Minister Anurag Thakur: The Supreme Court on Thursday lifted the ban on BJP MP and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur from holding office in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), nearly nine years after removing him as the cricket body's president.
A Bench of Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi modified its January 2017 order, which had directed Thakur to "cease and desist from being associated with the working of the BCCI".

Nominations For BCCI Elections To Be Accepted On September 20 And 21
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia: Nominations for the upcoming BCCI elections will be accepted on September 20 and 21, said a notification from Electoral Officer A.K. Joti released on Saturday evening. Previously, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia told IANS that the elections are on the agenda for the 94th Annual General Meeting (AGM), to be held at 11:30 am on September 28 at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai.
