'Worst Performance': Maresca After Chelsea's 0-3 Loss Against Brighton
Chelsea failed to register a single shot on target on a forgettable night. Kaoru Mitoma, who had scored the decisive goal the previous week when Brighton eliminated Chelsea from the FA Cup, opened the scoring with a brilliant strike. Yankuba Minteh then added two more goals, as Brighton cruised to a comfortable victory, with Chelsea offering little to no offensive threat.
"Probably since I arrived, that is the worst performance, especially in the moment we are in," Maresca told Sky Sports.
