श्रीलंका ने तीन मैचों की वनडे सीरीज के आखिरी मैच में 110 रन के विशाल अंतर से मात दी। इसी के साथ श्रीलंकाई टीम ने 27 साल बाद भारत के खिलाफ कोई द्विपक्षीय वनडे सीरीज जीती है। अब श्रीलंका के स्पिनर महीश तीक्ष्णा (Maheesh Theekshana) ने सीरीज जीतने के बाद भारत पर तंज कसा है। उन्होंने कहा कि वे आमतौर पर भारत में अच्छे विकेटों और छोटी बाउंड्रीज पर खेलते हैं।
श्रीलंकाई स्पिनर तीक्ष्णा ने कहा कि, "वे (भारत) आमतौर पर भारत में अच्छे विकेटों और छोटी बाउंड्रीज पर खेलते हैं। हम जानते थे कि प्रेमदासा में खेलते हुए अगर थोड़ा सा भी टर्न मिलता है तो हम फायदा उठा सकते हैं क्योंकि हमारे पास अच्छे स्पिनर हैं। घरेलू क्रिकेट में भी विकेट ऐसे ही होते हैं और हमारे बल्लेबाज जानते हैं कि कैसे खेलना है।"
