वीवीएस लक्ष्मण बने रहेंगे एनसीए के प्रमुख
T20 WC: पूर्व भारतीय बल्लेबाज़ वीवीएस लक्ष्मण का नेशनल क्रिकेट एकेडमी (एनसीए) प्रमुख के रूप में कार्यकाल कम से कम एक साल तक बढ़ाया जाएगा। उनका तीन साल का करार अगले महीने सितंबर में समाप्त हो रहा है।
इससे पहले कहा जा रहा था कि लक्ष्मण अगले साल के आईपीएल सीजन के लिए किसी फ्रेंचाइजी के मुख्य कोच बन सकते हैं। लेकिन लक्ष्मण ने इन सभी संभावनाओं को नकार कर एनसीए प्रमुख के रूप में कार्यकाल बढ़ाने के प्रस्ताव को स्वीकार कर लिया है। उनके साथ उनके सहयोगियों सितांशु कोटक, साईराज बहुतुले और ऋषिकेश कानितकर का भी कार्यकाल बढ़ाया जाएगा।
फ़िलहाल एनसीए चिन्नास्वामी स्टेडियम में चलता है, लेकिन जल्द ही एक बड़े एनसीए कैंपस का उद्घाटन बेंगलुरू के बाहरी हिस्से में होने जा रहा है। इसकी नींव 2022 में रखी गई थी। इस कैंपस में 100 पिचें, 45 इनडोर पिचें, तीन अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आकार के मैदान, एक आधुनिक रिहैब सेंटर और एक ओलंपिक साइज़ पूल होगा। इस नए एनसीए कैंपस के अगले साल से शुरू होने की संभावना है।
