‘बॉलर है या बैटर?’ वाशिंगटन सुंदर के रोल को लेकर दिनेश कार्तिक ने टीम मैनेजमेंट पर उठाए सवाल
कोलकाता टेस्ट में टीम इंडिया ने वाशिंगटन सुंदर को नंबर-3 पर प्रमोट कर सबको चौंका दिया, लेकिन पूर्व भारतीय विकेटकीपर दिनेश कार्तिक को ये फैसला कुछ खास पसंद नहीं आया और उन्होंने सुंदर के रोल को लेकर बड़ी चिंता जताई। कार्तिक का कहना है कि नंबर-3 पर खेलते-खेलते सुंदर अपनी असली स्किल गेंदबाज़ी से दूर होते जा सकते हैं।
भारत और दक्षिण अफ्रीका के बीच कोलकाता में खेले गए पहले टेस्ट ने सिर्फ मैच के नतीजे को लेकर ही नहीं, बल्कि टीम इंडिया की बैटिंग ऑर्डर को लेकर भी खूब चर्चाएं खड़ी कीं। सबसे बड़ा सरप्राइज तब आया जब टीम मैनेजमेंट ने वाशिंगटन सुंदर को नंबर-3 पर बल्लेबाजी कराई वो भी साईं सुदर्शन को प्लेइंग इलेवन से बाहर कर, जो हाल ही में वेस्टइंडीज सीरीज में इसी पोजीशन पर खेले थे।
