रविवार को लॉर्ड्स में भारत और इंग्लैंड की टीमों के खिलाड़ियों और मैच अधिकारियों ने महान खिलाड़ी सर गारफील्ड सोबर्स (सर गैरी सोबर्स) को भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि दी। सोबर्स का शुक्रवार को 89 साल की उम्र में निधन हो गया था। श्रद्धांजलि के तौर पर दोनों टीमों के अधिकारियों ने काली पट्टी बांधी और एक मिनट का मौन रखा। पूरे मैच के दौरान दोनों टीमों के खिलाड़ी काली पट्टी बांधे रहेंगे। लॉर्ड्स में मौजूद दर्शकों ने भी पूरी गंभीरता से एक मिनट का मौन रखा।
