    Mishra shocked by Shami trade, Russell release ahead of IPL 2026 auction.

    Former India leg-spinner Amit Mishra has termed veteran fast bowler Mohammed Shami's trade from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on IPL 2026 retentions day as a surprising move.

    He also called three-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) decision to release Andre Russell into the auction pool as a ‘very risky’ one ahead of the auction scheduled for December 16 in Abu Dhabi.
