Lucknow Super Giants: पंजाब किंग्स के कप्तान श्रेयस अय्यर, जिन्होंने 2025 चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी अभियान को भारत के शीर्ष स्कोरर के रूप में समाप्त किया, ने खुलासा किया कि टूर्नामेंट से पहले टीम इंडिया के पहले अभ्यास सत्र के बाद वे रो पड़े, जो पाकिस्तान और दुबई में संयुक्त रूप से आयोजित किया गया था।
अय्यर ने 'कैंडिड विद किंग्स' के एपिसोड में अभिनेत्री साहिबा बाली द्वारा पूछे जाने पर कहा कि 'पिछली बार वे कब रोए थे? उन्होंने कहा, ''पिछली बार मैं 2025 चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी के पहले अभ्यास सत्र के दौरान रोया था। मैं सचमुच रो रहा था क्योंकि मैं नेट्स में बल्लेबाजी कर रहा था और ठीक से बल्लेबाजी नहीं कर पा रहा था। मुझे खुद पर इतना गुस्सा आया कि मैं रोने लगा और मैं हैरान भी था क्योंकि मैं आसानी से नहीं रोता।"
उन्होंने कहा, "मैंने इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ सीरीज में अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया था, इसलिए मैंने सोचा कि मैं उसी लय को बरकरार रखूंगा, लेकिन विकेट अलग थे और पहले दिन खुद को ढालना एक कठिन काम था, इसलिए जब अभ्यास समाप्त हुआ, तो मैं थोड़ा और अभ्यास करना चाहता था और मुझे ऐसा करने का मौका नहीं मिला, इसलिए मैं गुस्सा हो गया।"
