भारत के ओपनर और दुनिया के नंबर 1 टी-20 बल्लेबाज अभिषेक शर्मा ने खराब फॉर्म से जूझ रहे अपने कप्तान सूर्यकुमार यादव और उप कप्तान शुभमन गिल का साथ देते हुए कहा है कि जब सबसे ज़्यादा ज़रूरत होगी, तब ये दोनों अच्छा प्रदर्शन करेंगे। उन्होंने ज़ोर देकर कहा कि ये दोनों आने वाले आईसीसी पुरुष टी-20 वर्ल्ड कप में भारत के लिए मैच विनर साबित होंगे।
सूर्यकुमार और गिल का बल्ला साउथ अफ्रीका के खिलाफ चल रही पांच मैचों की टी-20 सीरीज़ में शांत रहा है। रविवार को धर्मशाला में भारत की सात विकेट की जीत में गिल का 28 रन पहले तीन मैचों में सबसे बड़ा स्कोर था। लेकिन अभिषेक ने उनकी फॉर्म को लेकर किसी भी चिंता को खारिज कर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि उन्हें पूरा भरोसा है कि आने वाली सीरीज और टी-20 वर्ल्ड कप में ये दोनों रन बनाएंगे।
